Joseph and I had a great breakfast together while Vicki slept in. I am interested in the number of churches in this area and how many Christian people we’ve met.
While we were out we bought our train tickets to Amma’s ashram! We leave on Monday to stay all next week.
There are a lot of street dogs all over the place. Joseph told me that no one here actually “owns” or keeps a pet. I was confused because at a lot of the places we visit there are dogs with collars sleeping in the shops and restaurants. So I asked Charles, the kind man who helped us purchase our train tickets, because there was a very comfortable dog asleep in his place of business. Charles says there is a trust that cares for the street dogs! The dogs – and cats, and goats – seem to roam around wherever they want, and none of them look sick or hungry; they appear to be happy and healthy.
On this outing I got a book on the teachings of Ramana Maharshi. We are taking a day trip to visit his ashram while we’re at Auroville.
You now think that you are an individual; outside you there is the universe and beyond the universe is God. So, there is the idea of separateness. This idea must go. For God is not separate from you or the Cosmos.

We stopped by Fort Aryuveda on our way to dinner, a beautiful spa, hotel, and restaurant. Tomorrow Vicki and I have booked massages!!
This Ginger House is magical! A lovely dinner and great conversation. What a beautiful end to my first full day.
