I’ll board a plane from Savannah GA on Tuesday evening, September 19.
From Savannah I take a short flight to Atlanta, and after an hour layover, I board Air France bound for Mumbai with a stop at the airport in Paris for about 90 minutes. In Mumbai I take another short hop to my first destination in Kochi on the southwest coast of India where we’ll be staying for 19 days.

I’m meeting my dear friend Vicki Vanderhorst and her husband Joseph. Vicki and I graduated from ministerial school together and we have been prayer partners for about 10 years now. Vicki has arranged and scheduled our entire trip – it’s like having my own personal travel agent! I am so happy and grateful to her for planning this adventure. I’ve been wanting to visit India for almost 20 years. This is a dream come true, and a testament to the power of intention and faith.

Amritapuri Ashram, the Birthplace of Amma
We will be taking a train from Kochi to the ashram at Amritapuri to stay for a few days for the 70th birthday of Amma the Hugging Saint. Then, after a couple more days in Kochi, we fly to the opposite coast to visit Pondicherry near Chennai. While we are there we will stay for a while at Auroville, founded by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

Auroville, the City of Dawn
My time in India will last for an entire month. My intention is to post a picture with a short description almost every day – but we’ll see how that goes! I am going into this journey with no expectations, only a desire to expand my consciousness.
Thanks for joining me!
