I THINK IT – I SPEAK IT – I WRITE IT – I LIVE IT

Emma Curtis Hopkins, New Thought pioneer and Teacher of Teachers, tells us, “There are three ways of dealing with the principles announced in Truth. There is the deep thinking which the mind exercises respecting them. There is the speaking them forth which we do not hesitate to do. There is the careful recording of them, which is writing down what we know of them. The next is living them, which we are sure to do if we think, speak, and write them. It is by faithfully doing all these things with Spiritual doctrine that we accomplish the works of the Spirit in us.”

THINK IT
I think thoughts of Truth.  What is Truth?  I am everything that God is, expressing at the point of me.  I am made in the image and likeness of my Creator.  God is Love, so I AM the Love of God.  I hold this thought consistently and my mind is renewed.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. – Romans 12:2

Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 2:5

SPEAK IT
I speak my word with authority, as Jesus did, claiming my Good.  I do not beg or plead, rather, I declare and claim the Good that is mine by right of consciousness.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name (nature, character, authority). Ask (declare, call forth, claim) and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

John 16:24

WRITE IT
Writing down my thoughts and feelings brings them into concrete manifestation.  It helps me to be clear on the Most High Good that I can conceive, and to discover anything that I am holding in mind that is standing the way of that Good.  Having an affirmation on my refrigerator, on my mirror, on my desk, or in my car reminds me of my intention.

Jesus answered, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?

John 10:34

LIVE IT
I practice this process by choosing a quality of Spirit that I desire to express, and I use a statement similar to this:

I AM THE LOVE (or Power, Life, Light, Wisdom, etc.) OF GOD.

If I find myself speaking or thinking contrary to my Idea, I negate it with a statement such as this:

THIS THOUGHT (or feeling, event, person, etc) HAS NO POWER OVER ME.
and I continue to affirm my Truth!

My negation and affirmation could look something like this:

These feelings of loneliness have no power over me,
because I know that I AM the LOVE of GOD!

NOTE: by using “I AM” we are invoking the Name of God that was given to Moses in the Hebrew Bible: the I AM that I AM.  Use phrases that resonate with you, because it is important that you generate a feeling with your statements of Truth.  The Law of Mind Action tell us that THOUGHT plus FEELING equals OUTCOME.

I THINK IT – I SPEAK IT – I WRITE IT – I LIVE IT!
